On A Roll

The show season has taken off. Hardly enough time to breath let alone keep up with the demand. I am not complaining! So far we've had good weather and the people I'm meeting along the way have been very supportive. Couldn't ask for a better start.
The 57th Street Art Fair was a success. My booth was next to a jeweler, Amy Taylor and her husband Tom. Lovely couple and her work is outstanding. I just had to purchase some earrings. I told my husband that it was what he was getting me for my birthday. Go to www.amytaylorjewelry.com to see her wonderful creations.

I was also visited by many people who have bought my work in past years. They are still in love with their little works of art.

Last and certainly not least, there WAS Wells Street Art Fest. It was the first time I've done this show. Not sure why I haven't done it before except other artists say it's one of the hardest shows to participate in. The hours are very long and the crowds are massive but I have got to say it was probably my most rewarding show to date. I will agree that it's extremely stressful and it's taking some time to recoup. I want to thank everyone who came by my booth to praise my work. You don't know how much that means to me!

Just one sad note, I have to cancel my next show in Bloomington, IN. I need to attend to some business here and am unable to leave Chicago to make the trip. This is a show I was looking forward to doing. Maybe next year.
Thank you again and I'll see you at a show along the way.

One of My Favorite Fairs This Weekend

The 57th Street Art Fair in Hyde Park is this weekend. I love this show! The people, the neighborhood and the group of artists are all top notch. I'll be in booth #539 and you can find more info at www.57thstreetartfair.org. Below is one of the new images from my Chicago Music and Theater series.

Just a few pics from last weekend. My booth was located between these artists. One was a brother duo, Jon and David Swartz of Black Inc Art (www.blackinkart.com). The other side was Mark Fischer and his wife (www.turtleclanart.com). He won TWO awards at the show. Spread the love, Mark!
